Our story
Founded in 2016 by three University of Limerick students – Chris Kelly, Fionn Barron & Eoin O Brien – Tracworx initially developed software for hospitals. The aim was to trace patient movements around hospitals, to help ensure the greatest number of patients could be cared for through bed usage optimization.
Amid COVID-19, Tracworx couldn't enter hospitals, so the team refocused on helping companies stay open by repurposing their solution for social distancing and contact tracing.
This was adopted by industry giants like Apple to produce their hit show Foundation. The Tracworx team was as happy as everyone else to see the reduction in movement restrictions post COVID and they again repurposed their solution to where it is today, a unit-level tracking solution for supply chain assets.
